HOST Policy Research: Working With Us

Working for HOST

We get approached by many people interested in becoming a HOST Associate. Many do not get as far as an interview – why? HOST is always interested in considering new Associates, but the relationship is not one to be taken lightly. It involves considerable commitment on both sides so is not for the independent consultant/researcher looking to do the occasional bigger project or working in a bigger team (though we do work in partnership with other organisations and individuals from time to time – see the previous section). We are looking for individuals who have developed a particular expertise – this may be subject-specific (such as IAG, sectoral or geographic) or approach-specific (such as a particular expertise in a type of interviewing technique, modelling or type of output). We are always looking to widen our breadth of skills on offer to clients so new subject or skills expertise is particularly welcome. We are also looking for individuals who would be prepared to be part of HOST’s network, its interactions, group development and learning activities – in other words, to be part of the team.

Applications to become an Associate are handled directly by HOST’s Managing Director, Dorothy Berry-Lound and approaches should be by e-mail in the first instance to info@hostpolicyresearch.com.
