Surveys and Quantitative Research
HOST maintains an in-house Survey Unit co-ordinating postal surveys, e-surveys and telephone surveys. E-surveys have become a regular part of HOST’s project methodologies and our response rates, dependent upon the quality of the contact information provided by the client, are excellent (40-60% we can provide further evidence of these responses rates if required). HOST has conducted 26 evaluations over the last five years and the majority of these evaluations involved combinations of survey, literature or MI review and case study research.
HOST devotes time to considering existing research evidence and using findings to-date to inform the development of research tools. HOST is familiar with all published datasets including ILR and in the spirit of reducing bureaucracy prefers to work with evidence that is already being provided, for example by a provider as part of their contract producing monthly or quarterly returns, then developing methods to fill any obvious information gaps.
The research tools developed by HOST are informed by a constant process of reviewing existing research evidence and findings, and are all designed to avoid placing any unnecessary burden on research participants.
