Jenny is a researcher and evaluator in the fields of health education and workforce development, who also, as a former health professional has extensive operational and managerial experience of the health and social care sectors. Jenny operates both as an Associate with HOST and as a Director of Research, running her own limited company.

Jenny’s career began as a registered nurse, spending many years developing her skill and experience in the field of rehabilitation, culminating is being appointed as one of the first consultant nurses in the UK. As part of this role Jenny first extended her skill and knowledge in the field of health research, she undertook an MSc in research methods and is widely published. More recently Jenny’s career has been focused on workforce development, initially as a university senior lecturer, leading on to a three year appointment with a sector skills council, undertaking the strategic lead for qualifications framework design for the UK health sector.

Jenny is a highly experienced researcher and project manager. She has extensive experience of planning and delivering research consultations and evaluation projects, coupled with recent experience of undertaking projects related to the children’s workforce. She has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is recognised for her analytical abilities and knowledge of current health sector policy.

Jenny is married to Joe and they have with three adult daughters. She enjoys keeping fit, reading, playing bridge and travelling.
