During this time Jane’s roles covered a wide range of disciplines including planning, ESF bidding and contracting, economic development, major regional research projects, forecasting, client relationship management systems, management information, corporate change management, strategic area reviews, chamber surveys and programme evaluations. She published numerous economic assessments and Household and Employer survey reports and managed a complex economic forecasting model for the Coventry and Warwickshire sub-region.

From January 2004, Jane has worked as an independent consultant, a main focus on the post-16 learning and skills agenda, but also significant activity in local economic development and regeneration, particularly in the West Midlands. She has undertaken Strategic Area Reviews, research into migrant workers and ESOL, support for economic and skills assessments and numerous evaluations.

Outside work, Jane is a member of her local walking group and also the village fete committee. She is a keen gardener and compliments this with a love of cooking, so that the produce from her garden, orchard and woodland are not wasted.
