Claire Harris CPsychol became a HOST Associate in 2009. Coming from a background in Occupational Psychology, she started her career in academia as a research assistant, progressing to research fellow and then lecturer in Organisational Psychology. Claire has worked at the University of Sheffield, University of Nottingham and Manchester Business School, where she retains a visiting research fellow position. Since 2007, she has been working freelance on research, evaluation, leadership development and executive coaching. Claire has a vast experience of working with the health sector, conducting research and evaluation.

Most recently she conducted a formative evaluation of the Clinical Pathways Engagement Process for NHS North West. She has also worked on evaluations of Copying Letters to Patients, Patient held Electronic Health Records, Working Time Directive Pilots for Junior Doctors and Hospital at Night. In addition to the evaluation work that Claire has been involved in, she is also an active researcher. She recently conducted an on-line satisfaction survey for the Association for Coaching in the North West. Her most recent publication in Human Relations (2009) reflects her contribution to a CIPD, NHS and HPMA sponsored project exploring the links between Human Resource Management and Performance.

Claire is also a consultant. She specialises in leadership development, career management and executive coaching.

Claire is a keen snowboarder, jogger and walker. She regularly walks in the Lake District and undertakes 10k runs for charity. In 2010 she will run her first half marathon.
